How It Works
Different countries use different plug types, voltages, and frequencies. Using the wrong plug is a simple fix with an adapter, but using the wrong voltage without a converter can destroy your electronics. Always check before you travel.
Adapter vs Converter
An adapter only changes the physical plug shapeāit doesn't change voltage. A converter (or transformer) changes the electrical voltage. Most modern electronics (phones, laptops, cameras) are dual-voltage (110-240V) and only need an adapter.
